There are subtle differences between the "large format version" and the "small format version" of the logo. The small format version looks better at low resolution; it has relatively larger stars, and a relatively rounder head on the comet.
If possible, use the .eps file, since this is a vector format with maximum resolution.
The best way to generate a logo with a non-standard size is to open the .eps file in Adobe Illustrator and export a new jpeg or .gif file of the appropriate size. The graphics lab can do this for you. We will add logos of useful sizes to this page as they are requested.
